Our Philosophy
Our mission: to provide a play-based program that allows children to scaffold their learning in partnership with educators, peers, the community and the natural environment.
Our children
We believe children have the right to speak, express and share what they learn, think and feel.
That children thrive in an environment where they develop a secure sense of belonging and are respected as individuals and protagonists of their own learning.
Our Families.
We believe our families have a right to develop a sense of belonging at Orenda Circle.
We value parents as a child’s first teacher and aim to build a rich relationship of collaboration to support each child’s journey.
Our Educators - Professional pedagogy.
We view each of our educators as lifelong learners and strive to take a multi-faceted approach in our view of early education in order to incorporate current knowledge of best practices into our pedagogy.
Through this understanding, Educators are valued as learners, mentors and guides encouraged to share their unique knowledge, understanding and perspective.
Educators engage in both holistic professional development and personal development to enrich the opportunities we provide at Orenda Circle.
In striving to provide quality care that supports children, educators and families we believe it is important for Management to maintain an active presence in the day-to-day practices of Orenda Circle.
You will see all of our management team directly engaged in the hands-on aspects of our service.
