Yes, we offer both full-time and part-time enrolment options to accommodate the needs of different families. Please note, we have an enrolment policy that dictates a minimum of 2 days a week. Please see ourfamily handbook for more information.
Do you have a waiting list?
Yes, we maintain a waiting list for families interested in enrolling their child. To add your child to the waiting list, please contact our centre. Click here to join.
How does your waitlist work?
We understand that waitlists can feel unclear, so we aim to be as transparent as possible about how ours is managed.
At Orenda, we do prioritise families based on how long they have been on the waitlist, and we always begin by working from the top of the list when a place becomes available.
However, as a small, mixed-age service, we also need to carefully consider how each new enrolment supports the overall group. This means that when offering a place, we look for the next family on the waitlist who also aligns with the specific availability and needs of the group at that time.
Factors we consider include:
Age and stage of development
The year a child will begin school (cohort balance)
Days required and current availability
Group dynamics and overall composition
For example, we intentionally maintain a balance of younger children, toddlers, and older “leader” children (pre-kindy age). This supports confidence, peer learning, and a strong sense of community within our multi-age environment.
Because of this, a place becoming available does not always mean it will be offered strictly to the next name on the list, but rather to the next suitable family from the top of the waitlist.
Our waitlist moves slowly, however changes do occur throughout the year as families adjust their care needs, move, or transition to school. We contact families directly when a suitable place becomes available.
What qualifications do your staff hold?
Our teachers and educators are highly qualified and hold relevant certifications in early childhood education. They undergo continuous professional development training to stay updated with the latest teaching practices. Please click here to see up to date information of current qualifications and roles held by all staff at Orenda Circle.
Do you have a transition process for new children?
Yes, we have a transition process in place to help new children and their families adjust to our childcare centre. This includes gradual entry and opportunities for parents to communicate their child's needs and preferences.
